Position Summary
The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for providingdirect patient care services to AAAI patients. These services are renderedunder the supervision of one or more physicians. The PA will assess, diagnose,treat, and counsel patients on healthcare matters.
Reports To : ChiefOperating Officer for Administrative matters.
AAAIphysician for clinical matters.
Principal Duties andResponsibilities
- Examining patients
- Making medical diagnoses and decisions
- Treating patients
- Counseling with patients
- Prescribing therapies, tests, and medications
- Obtaining, compiling, and recording patientmedical data in various medical systems
- As directed, developing protocols and trainingtools
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Knowledge,and Abilities
1. Medicine-knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat humanillnesses, diseases, injuries, and other medical issues
2. Patienteducation- capable of communicating diagnoses, treatment plans, and othermedical matters in a manner that can be understood by the patient
3. Staffdevelopment- collaborating with Medical Assistant and other staff to providetraining or other developmental needs

12. Knowledgeof personal computers using various software programs (Microsoft Suite, ormobile application)
13. Ability towork well with others throughout AAAI.
14. Work in afast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities
Education
Licenses / Certifications
Experience
One or more years of experience as a PA-C in a relevantfield is strongly preferred. Familiarity with medical practice operations(front office, back office, and / or business office).
Other Requirements
Ability totravel to AAAI offices as directed. Willingness to work in any office assigned.AAAI has 7 locations throughout the Phoenix Valley, this current vacantposition would cover our west valley offices in Peoria, Avondale, and Surprise.This is a requirement.
Willingness (as needed) to travel for CME opportunities.
Working Conditions
Medical office environment. Must be able to work in AAAIoffices to deliver patient care.
