The Clinical Manager is responsible for the quality clinical services of the Behavioral Health and assigned staff. Responsible for overseeing a variety of adult and child programs. As a member of the agency Management Team, the Clinical Manager contributes to the agency’s overall strategic planning. The Clinical Manager participates in program development, implementation, and evaluation, as well as reviewing potential lines of new services. The Clinical Manager assists in developing and submitting formal proposals, as needed. He or she collaborates with community agencies, funding sources, customers, and monitoring agencies, and markets the agency’s services, as appropriate. The Clinical Manager focuses on efforts to expand and improve all agency behavioral health programs and services.
Essential Duties:
- Oversees the department’s clinical programs and identifies strategies for growth of programs and increased quality of programs.
- Routinely audits and assesses for service deficiencies and intervenes as necessary.
- Assists in the implementation of orientation and ongoing training of new employees.
- Assists the Director or designee in reviewing and responding to concerns or grievances raised by regulatory or oversight entities.
- Provides direct administrative and clinical supervision of clinical staff and interns. Ensures that supervisees are consistently meeting productivity requirements. Implements effective interventions to motivate staff to meet expectations.
- Oversees delivery of appropriate clinical services and ensures that the clinical staff members comply with established guidelines and requirements set forth in all contracted services.
- Conducts regular departmental meetings and assists the Director or designee in conducting “all staff” meetings.
- Attends outside meetings as requested by the Director or designee.
- Assists with the interview and selection process of prospective employees for clinical and non-clinical positions.
- Monitors and ensures the fiscal integrity of the department.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Masters degree in human services or related field.
- Preferred candidates will have an independent license by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Associate licensed candidates will be considered if strong managerial experience can be established.
- Must have at least 2 years managerial experience in a behavioral health, corrections or child welfare setting.
- Must be proficient with computer software programs that can establish reports.
- Must be able to establish, analyze and use program data to guide department decision making.
- Fingerprint clearance, CPR, clean MVD record and background check required.
There is a generous bonus structure available for this position.

Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
