Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Part-Time Office Building Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper upkeep, functionality, and safety of our office building. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general facility upkeep to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the building, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
- Perform minor repairs, such as fixing leaks, replacing light fixtures, repairing doors, and troubleshooting minor electrical or plumbing issues.
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of common areas, such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and break rooms.
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants or office staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and assist with HVAC system maintenance.
- Coordinate with vendors or contractors for larger repairs or maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with building safety codes and company policies.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and request replacements as needed.
- Assist in setting up office furniture, equipment, or minor remodeling projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders or standing for extended periods.
- Availability for occasional emergency repairs or after-hours maintenance needs.
