Contract: 4 months
Team: Internal Product Team for Google’s HR Solutions
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and independent UX Designer (Interaction Designer) to join our internal Google team focused on HR products. - Design intuitive and scalable interaction designs for HR platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX researchers, engineers, and program managers.
- Contribute to strategic design conversations and workflows across the platform.
- Deliver end-to-end design work independently, from ideation through execution.
- Represent design perspectives during product development cycles.
- Present work, rationale, and iterations clearly during portfolio and stakeholder reviews.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of industry experience in UX design, preferably with technical or HR-related products.
- Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma; experience with Sketch or similar tools also acceptable.

- Strong portfolio showcasing interaction and platform-level design work.
- Ability to work independently and represent the UX discipline in cross-functional groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with HR products or tools.
- Familiarity with design systems and scalable UI architecture.
- Experience working as the sole designer on a project or within a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle scenario-based design challenges during interviews.
Team Structure
- UX Team includes ~10 members: designers, researchers, and content strategists.
- Cross-functional teams include engineers, product managers, PGMs, and Google’s HR stakeholders.
- Designers may be assigned as the only UX lead on their respective projects but will collaborate closely with others.
Important Notes
- A portfolio submission is mandatory.
- Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
