Data Warehouse Tech Specialist, IT Enterprise Level

AZAD Technology Partners is seeking a Data Warehouse Tech Specialist (Hybrid) for a full-time, W2 Contract position based in Raleigh, NC

The position is Onsite / Hybrid - Hybrid schedule will be remote with occasional onsite . NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION.

The initial assignment length is 13-Months.

Compensation is between $50.00 - $53.00 hourly. Benefits include Co-paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Cafeteria Plan.

Position Summary :

Client is looking for an IT Enterprise Level Data Warehouse Technical Specialist to provide advanced architect (lead technical expert) support and requires experience in systems development tools and techniques. This position requires excellent communication, analytical and organization skills and the ability to translate business and technical ideas and issues into clear and concise language; excellent customer service skills; can contribute and work within a team environment; and can communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form with management and co-workers.

Advanced knowledge of cloud (OCI, AWS. Or Azure) database systems are required, along with experience in modifying or developing complex, interrelated applications and solutions. The role involves linking technical expertise with business, research, or instructional needs, ranging from consulting services (software or hardware recommendations) to the development of integrated, automated systems. Duties include client needs assessment as well as evaluating hardware availability and software requirements.

The Candidate will work on the following initiatives and will perform Testing tasks such as :

This position will be responsible for various activities related to the design, implementation and maintenance of complex Oracle and SQL Server databases. Experienced in supporting applications based on various platforms and technologies such as IBM Mainframe, Sun Solaris (UNIX), Database platforms and tools (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MS Access), SAS DI Integration, Unix shell script, C / C , SQL query writing, Stored Procedures, FTP, Encryption / Decryption tools, IIS, Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, TCP / IP, Network, Firewall, VM Architecture, SSL Certificate Tools, Active Directory, VPN Solaris, VI Editor, Curl, X Windows, Word, Excel, IE, and Firefox. Experience with ETL, structured system development methodologies, data transfer and interface methodologies between mainframes and servers and distributed server environments in a statewide environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the minimum qualifications :

• Extensive experience with Database platforms and tools (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) (10 Years)
• Experience in deploying and managing databases on cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, or Azure) including cloud-native monitoring, backup, and recovery (5 Years)
• Experience in integrating on-prem and cloud databases using tools such as Oracle Data Integrator, AWS DMS, or Azure Data Factory (5 Years)
• Experience with data cloud migration projects including expertise in planning, execution, and optimization of data pipelines and storage in cloud (5 Years)
• Experience with supporting applications based on various platforms and technologies such as Sun Solaris (UNIX) (10 Years)
• Experience with supporting applications based on Linux OS (10 Years)
• Experience with supporting applications based on various platforms and technologies such as IBM Mainframe (5 Years)
• Experience in migrating mainframe-based data to modern relational databases, such as Oracle or SQL Server (5 Years)
• Experience in writing, debugging, and optimizing Unix Shell scripts to automate tasks and manage processes within Unix-based environment (10 Years)
• Experience with C / C , SQL query writing, Stored Procedures, FTP, Encryption / Decryption tools (10 Years)
• Extensive experience with ETL, structured system development methodologies, data transfer and interface methodologies (10 Years)
• Experience with TCP / IP, Network, Firewall, VM Architecture, SSL Certificate Tools, Active Directory (5 Years)
• Able to work without assistance and able to manage high complexity work efforts (10 Years)
