As a Bookkeeper at Azalea City Tax & Accounting, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records for our clients. You will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly and promptly. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Process payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and trial balances.
- Assist with tax preparation and ensure timely filing of required documents.
- Manage and update client accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial data and answer accounting-related questions.
- Collaborate with senior accountants and tax preparers to assist with audits and year-end closings.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of client financial data.
- Keep abreast of changes in accounting regulations and tax laws.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred).
- Proven experience (2 years) as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus.
Responsibilities
