Crawlspace Encapsulation Supervisor/Estimator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Crawlspace Encapsulation Supervisor/Estimator to oversee and manage crawlspace encapsulation projects while providing accurate project estimates. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role. This role involves leading a team, maintaining high standards of workmanship, ensuring client satisfaction, and generating precise cost and time estimates for potential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Project Management

• Oversee all aspects of crawlspace encapsulation projects, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage a team of technicians to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
• Conduct pre- and post-job inspections to ensure proper installation of encapsulation materials (vapor barriers, insulation, dehumidifiers, etc.).
• Identify and resolve on-site issues to prevent delays or compromised quality.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, company policies, and customer requirements.

Estimation and Client Relations

• Perform site assessments to evaluate crawlspace conditions and determine project scope.
• Generate detailed project estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Clearly communicate estimates and project plans to clients, addressing any concerns or questions.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service and timely follow-ups.

Administrative and Reporting

• Track project progress, document changes, and provide regular updates to management.
• Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and equipment deployed for each project.
• Provide feedback to improve processes, tools, and techniques for future projects.

Marketing

• Develop relationships with builders, real estate agents, and other potential referral sources
• Maintain a log of marketing contacts
• Attend marketing meetings and events occasionally
• Be willing to entertain clients with lunches, sporting events, and other activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Proven experience in crawlspace encapsulation, waterproofing, or a related field. (minimum 2 years)
• Strong knowledge of encapsulation methods, materials, and equipment.
• Experience in cost estimation and proposal preparation.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., estimating software, CRM systems).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in confined spaces and perform manual labor as needed.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks such as kneeling, crawling, and climbing.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in crawlspace encapsulation, mold remediation, or related fields.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Experience with dehumidification systems and air quality improvement techniques.

Work Environment:

• On-site at residential or commercial properties, with occasional office work for reporting and estimation.
• Requires flexibility in scheduling, including occasional evening or weekend work to meet client needs.
