Harborview Health System, the Southeast leading healthcare provider acquired Azalea Health and Rehabilitation on March 1, 2022, which has now become Azalea Health Center by Harborview. The company plans to implement substantial rehabilitations and modernization of the facility to put a brand-new face on a familiar place. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing services department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing a nursing services organizational structure.
- Work with the MDS Director/Coordinator to schedule, conduct and submit resident assessments.
- Allocate resources efficiently while ensuring that residents obtain their highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
- Coordinate with other resident services to ensure continuity of resident care.
- Participate in developing, implementing and periodically updating the resident's written plan of care.
- Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
- Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and to determine if nursing needs are being met.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary.

- A nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related health care facility
- A current unencumbered active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Georgia or a compact RN license.
- Valid CPR certification
