Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Identify cost savings and opportunities to improve operating performance through information gathering and analysis
- Collaborate with the operational teams to produce accurate P&L expense forecasts, record and analyze actual performance, identify sources, and develop plan of action to address variances
- Build financial models to predict effects of operational revenue/cost action plans
- Analyze operating results by decision-relevant variables
- Formulate efficient research plans for analyzing large amounts of data and presenting conclusions and recommendations
- Assist in the development and implementation of benchmark reports for operating groups
- Summarize trends and relationships through graphs, schedules, and memoranda
- Quantify performance improvement opportunities
- Constantly improve reporting process and analytics
- Assist in Dry Dock and/or Newbuild Operations financial projections
- Responsible for "special project" initiatives as defined by senior management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field required (MBA preferred); or two to four years of related financial or business analysis experience (cruise or hospitality preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel. Strong PC skills are required. Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment and manage multiple priorities. Must be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in analysis.
- Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge is required.
- Advanced analytical skills should include mathematical/financial modeling, broad exposure to operations research, and statistics.
- Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Essbase, NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, NetSuite ERP, PowerBI and Smartsheet is preferred.
