Distribution Support Lead

We have a great opportunity to join a fast growing, manufacturer. We are looking for an outstanding Support Lead for our Distribution Supervisor. Ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter, who is passionate about shipping and receiving and has boundless amounts of energy and enthusiasm. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required.

The Lead is responsible for, but not limited to the inspection of the outgoing freight using UPS and FedEx and LTL, working directly with the Sales, Shipping and Forklift Teams, inventory audits and working with the Distribution Supervisor for the facility.

Requirements

• Two years experience in a warehouse or shipping / receiving environment - Attention to detail, great reading, writing, and communication abilities. Excellent computer and typing skills are a must- Excel and Word proficient.
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills - Clean driving record and a valid driver's license - Reliable transportation and a good attendance record - High school diploma or equivalent - Familiar with UPS and Fed Ex computer systems -

Key Responsibilities include :

• Prepare shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers - Determine method of shipment, when not specified, by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment
• Ship items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items
• Document items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information Receiving
• Receive items by unloading vehicles; accepting deliveries; unpacking containers and working directly with the Forklift Team
• Verify items received by inspecting condition of items; comparing count / measure of items to purchase order and packing list; noting discrepancies
• Document items received by recording identifying information
• Work directly with Sales Team on special projects to ensure accurate and timely shipping
• Responsible for all LTL orders
• Cycle Counts, Inventory and Problem Solving throughout the warehouse
• Work Directly with the Shipping Department to resolve any issues or discrepancies

Work Remotely

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
