Position Summary: Reporting to the Creative Director and collaborating closely with the VP, Creative the Art Director will develop and execute compelling designs for print and digital media, ensuring brand consistency across marketing campaigns, product launches, and events. Collaborating with marketing, product management, and sales teams, they will create strategic visual solutions, manage scalable design systems, and oversee photography workflows from concept to post-production to deliver all work meeting quality standards, on time. The role includes mentoring junior designers and staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance design capabilities and efficiency (e.g. AI). 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities 

• Develop and execute compelling design concepts, graphics, and layouts for print and digital media, ensuring brand consistency across marketing campaigns, product launches, social media, and promotional materials. 

• Collaborate with marketing, product management, and sales teams to translate business objectives into engaging, strategic visual solutions that align with the brand's voice and aesthetic. 

• Implement and manage scalable design systems for consistent brand expression across multiple touchpoints. 

• Conceptualize and design materials for trade shows, events, and high-impact presentations, focusing on both content and form. 

• Provide art direction and mentorship to junior designers, ensuring high-quality deliverables that adhere to brand guidelines and formal design principles like typography and content hierarchy. 

• Manage workflow of photography assets from concept to post-production, partnering with external vendors, providing detailed retouching mark-ups, overseeing final image tagging and upload ensuring all meet quality standards 

• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements (e.g. AI) to continuously evolve design capabilities and efficiency. 

• Manage direct report(s) as needed 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. 

• 7 years of senior graphic design experience, either in an agency or on the client side 

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design tools. 

• Proven, expert typography and graphic design skills as evidenced in a portfolio of work 

• Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

• Experience in both B2B and B2C environments, tailoring designs to different audiences and marketing objectives, with aesthetic sensitivity for lifestyle brands and aspirational design. 

• Proficiency in digital asset management and workflow tools, emphasizing efficiency, collaboration, and flexibility to adapt to evolving processes and contribute to continuous improvement. 

• Experience managing 2 direct reports  

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $58.89/hr in our lowest market up to $78.22/hr in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
