Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates at optimal levels.
- Maintain and repair forklifts and other equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical education/certification or 2 years’ experience working in heavy or diesel equipment repair.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy machine repair.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues.
- Experience maintaining various types of heavy equipment (e.g., fork trucks, lifts, prime movers, bobcats or equivalent).
- Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment. (Vacuum, hydraulic, electrical)
- Understanding of engine systems, transmissions, hydraulics, and other relevant components.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in heavy equipment maintenance.
- Meticulous attention to detail during disassembly, inspection, and reassembly processes.
- Quality-focused mindset to ensure rebuilt equipment meets industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to be able to collaborate with team members and provide clear updates.
- Flexibility to work 1st shift hours (Monday - Friday, 6:30 PM - 3:00 AM), with potential weekend rotation on-call.
