This is a contract to perm position based at our corporate headquarters in Chicago’s West Fulton Market District with a hybrid work schedule.
An employee shuttle to and from Ogilvy Transportation and Union Station is provided, as well as subsidized parking in our buildings attached garage.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Creative Director and collaborating closely with the entire creative team, the Production Designer will design and produce assets for various media types, including digital, print, events and packaging, while ensuring quality and brand consistency across all platforms. They will follow design direction and create original layouts, adapt feedback into design updates, and prepare final files for delivery working directly with vendors as needed. In addition to design, they will manage image post-production, optimize assets for digital use, and support the broader creative and marketing teams. The ability to manage multiple projects, adhere to timelines, and maintain attention to detail for quality output are essential.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and create digital, print, event and packaging assets, including banner ads, social media content, email, and out-of-home materials.
- Create original layouts using typography, photography, illustrations, and vector art, while adapting designs based on feedback.
- Build and adapt various sizes and formats for digital and print executions based on provided specs.
- Ensure quality control, prepare final files and coordinate with external vendors for delivery.
- Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, while optimizing visual assets for digital platforms, including websites and email.
- Collaborate with design, retouching, and web teams to ensure consistent quality and adherence to style guides.
- Organize, add metadata tags and upload files to the DAM system, ensuring accuracy
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements, including file workflow and asset management
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in design and production, with a Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, visual communications, or related fields.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, Figma, PowerPoint, project management and DAM systems.
- Strong attention to detail, especially on fast-paced projects, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, collaborative team player with a passion for design, innovation, and home building products.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with a positive, can-do attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $40.00 - $45.00 per hour. We would target a base salary of $70K -$75K plus a 7.5% annual bonus target once converted to full-time plus benefits. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
