The Commercial Leader for the Americas will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for Azenta´s Products division. The Products family include Consumables and Instruments, Automated Sample Storage Systems, and Cryogenic Storage Systems.
This role involves leading a cross-functional team to drive revenue growth, enhance market share, and expand our customer base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with a proven track record in the Americas market. The role will report directly to the President of Azenta´s Sample Management division.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy for the Americas that aligns with overall business objectives and maximizes revenue across multiple product lines.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the Americas region. Utilize insights to refine product offerings and market positioning.
- Sales Management: Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve sales targets and drive performance. Establish sales goals, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of commercial strategies.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Act as a primary point of contact for major accounts and oversee contract negotiations.
- Global Process Owner: Lead the Global Processes for SMS Sales, driving strategic sales initiatives across the division while ensuring alignment, efficiency, and best practices in overall global sales processes
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of commercial initiatives. Regularly analyze performance data and report findings to senior management.
- Budget Management: Oversee the commercial budget for the Americas, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve business objectives.
- Team Development: Foster a high-performance culture within the team by providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
- Innovation and Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships, joint ventures, and new product introductions.
- 15 years of experience in commercial leadership roles, with a focus on sales and marketing within the life science sector.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets across multiple product lines in the Americas region.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in market analysis and competitive intelligence.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools.
- This role requires extensive travel to meet with teams, clients and stakeholders across the Americas.
