How You’ll Make an Impact
The Software Quality Engineer is responsible for establishing , executing, and supporting a test automation strategy for the Informatics team. Responsibilities include selecting and implementing an automation framework and developing automated test scripts suitable for Informatics test automation goals. The role also executes test scripts, analyzes the results of testing and reports abnormalities to engineers.
- Establish, improve, and maintain test automation strategy and procedures.
- Lead efforts to create automation framework for building automated tests.
- Evaluate software product and manual test cases to determine best candidates for automated tests.
- Develop and continuously improve automated tests as new system features and enhancements are developed.
- Ensure that test cases adhere to the parameters of functional and non-functional system requirements.
- Add test cases within the development build pipeline where appropriate .
- Report all malfunctions to production engineers to ensure immediate action.
- Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies in automated testing.
- Mentor software testers in the use of the testing framework.
