- Develop and lead complex Tableau dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
- Design data workflows and ETL processes to ingest and transform data for Tableau consumption.
- Collaborate with data engineering, software, design, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources and delivery of data products.
- Optimize Tableau performance, including dashboard load times and data refresh schedules.
- Utilize Jira to manage and track team deliverables, ensuring efficient project workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Participate in the testing process, including code reviews, manual testing, and unit testing.
- Identify technical issues (performance bottlenecks, data discrepancies, system defects) in data and software, perform root cause analysis, and communicate results effectively to the development team and other stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations on opportunities and improvements and participate in technology and analytics proof-of-concepts.
- Create detailed documentation that empowers other engineers and customers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5 years’ experience developing and managing Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, or other relational databases.
- Experience with ETL software and data pipeline development.
- Experience working in an agile development environment, or an understanding of the concepts of Agile software development.
- Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication, organization, technical, and project management skills.
- Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Online administration.
- Experience modeling data warehouse schemas.
- Experience with Python or equivalent is a plus.
- Familiarity with other databases is a plus, particularly document and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, or similar experience with Git, Jira, or other related tools.
- Experience in the Mortgage and Compliance industry.
