CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Production scheduling and capacity management:
- Create, maintain and optimize the company's master production schedule based on customer demand, internal capacity and material availability
- Regularly adjust the production schedule to accommodate changes in production requirements and alert appropriate staff of any modifications
- Identify, mitigate and communicate any capacity constraints or bottlenecks in the production process, working with internal teams to resolve issues
Purchasing and procurement:
- Procure materials, equipment, and services based on ERP-generated reports and purchase order requisitions to meet production needs
- Monitor procurement performance on a weekly basis and assist with reconciling discrepancies in received materials or invoicing
- Ensure the procurement process is timely and cost-effective, with a focus on minimizing delays or disruptions
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or price
- Provide regular reports or updates to leadership on key performance metrics including lead times, inventory trends, stock levels and cost savings
Supplier interaction and cost management:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for both existing and new products, aiming to add value in terms of cost savings, product quality, delivery performance, and serviceability
- Prepare quotes and orders for procurement, follow up with suppliers to expedite deliveries, and ensure that all transactions are completed accurately and on time
- Implement and maintain a Supplier Scorecard Program to measure and track supplier performance and identify areas for improvement
- Track and manage procurement costs to ensure purchases stay within budget
Other responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate documentation and data entry
- Maintain a safe, organized and clean work area and comply with company procedures and safety regulations
- Contribute to company goals and continuous improvement efforts

- Maintain a positive and professional work environment
- Adhere to regular and reliable attendance

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have experience in production scheduling, supply chain management or operations management in a manufacturing environment
- Must have highly accurate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
- Must have a strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision
- Must have strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Must have the ability to follow procedures
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work well under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and requirements, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be capable of managing tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks
