AZTEC is seeking a CADD Technician for our Phoenix, AZ office to be an integral part of AZTEC’s Energy group by working on renewable energy projects including solar farms and battery energy storage systems.
Job Description
This position requires an experienced drafter/CADD operator to perform technical drafting support for assigned projects. The ideal candidate will have solid skills in planning, scheduling, organization, and problem-solving. They will also have a strong client service attitude, a self-motivated approach, and an ability to manage a variety of tasks in a high-quality manner within a dynamic team environment.
This position performs a full range of professional electrical drafting assignments in a full-functioning capacity as part of the Electrical Group. Considerable independent judgment is required to carry out assignments that have a significant impact on services or programs. At the direction of the Electrical Group Leader, this position is responsible for the following:
Duties:
- Ensuring the completion of work based on project schedules.
- CAD drafting, estimating quantities and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Duties may also include marketing support on graphics or text related to upcoming projects.
- Performing work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions, and notes.
- Establish and maintain schedules and offer progress reports on work performed.
- Become familiar with current drafting procedures in electrical engineering for multiple clients.
Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of related CAD experience in an electrical engineering or related industry
- Experience with AutoCAD standard drafting techniques, terminology, and applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check
