Job Description
The Onboarding and Culture Coordinator role will focus on coordinating new hire onboarding and employee engagement items. This position provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Manager. Below is a list of the duties and responsibilities of the position:
1. Onboarding items:
- Assist with entering and creating profiles for all new employees upon offer acceptance
- Process background checks for new hires and maintain proper records
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives
- Provide swag bag to Admin team to provide to new hire
- Track IT items for new hires
- Process new hire job descriptions
- Send out new hire announcements
- Perform I-9 and E-Verify for all employees
- Maintains I-9 Files and keeps them current
- Schedule and lead new hire touch point meetings (30, 90, and 120 days)
2. Employee Engagement items:
- HR representative on the employee Culture Committees per location
- Lead and coordinate all employee events
- Collaborate with the HR team about new ideas to engage staff
- Help with preparing items for employee staff meetings
- Maintain the Employee Recognition Program (ERP)
- Send out monthly birthday and anniversary items
- Process Anniversary milestone bonus information
- Prepare and track Employee Recognition Awards
- Research employee engagement items and trends
3. Culture:
- Help create the Company’s Culture
- Suggest changes to the Company’s Culture as we grow/change
- Promote the Company Culture during new hire touchpoints
- Make suggestions on retention items
4. Offboarding (exit) Items
- Collect all items from the exiting employee and distribute them accordingly as backup to the HR Manager
- Track IT items for exit employees
- Process I-9 items for exit employees
5. Administrative Items:
- Process business cards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Back up for other HR items as needed (i.e. Job Postings and setup interviews).
- File documents into the appropriate employee file
- Research labor law requirements
Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Communications, or another closely related field is required. A concentration in Human Resources is a plus.
- A minimum of one (1) year of HR experience with two (2) years of administrative experience
- Strong typing and advanced computer application skills such as Microsoft Programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
- Able to operate a telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business machines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A positive attitude with strong customer service skills
- Phone and online meeting platform skills
- Supports workplace diversity
- Familiarity with relevant employment laws
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier
