We are currently seeking resumes from qualified, responsible, self-sufficient, energetic Roadway Designer / Engineer-In-Training for our Phoenix, Arizona office. The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop and build their personal knowledge and skills to assist with the growth and success of the office. Job Description

This position will assist senior design personnel in developing and completing designs and contract documents for various roadways. Design municipal and state projects for streets / highways / freeways involving roadway, drainage, utilities, and traffic engineering. Ability to function as a project engineer and understand all aspects of design and plan production. Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and project plans. Additional duties may include field assessment of existing roadway and pedestrian facilities.

Self-motivated, technically proficient, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team-oriented. Travel periodically within Arizona and neighboring states and be physically capable of performing fieldwork.

Primary Job Duties :

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, development of plans, special provisions and construction estimates
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and calculations
• Assist with utility coordination in order to provide clearance prior to submittal of final design documents
• Perform other duties as needed
