About the Role
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing sales talent in our Southern New England territory (Eastern Connecticut, Rhode Island, Central/Eastern Massachusetts). You have a background in sales yourself, but you have found your true calling managing and mentoring others to drive superior results. You foster a disciplined team culture, manage focused activity, workshop deal opportunities, measure results against structured formulas for success, and continually mentor team members on how to improve. You are a player-coach, focused first and foremost on effective team management but also comfortable jumping in to support sell-in of larger deals with major accounts. Key responsibilities include:
- Direct daily activity and manage performance of a team of sales representatives
- Support team in achievement of activity and result quotas, and hold individuals accountable to those targets
- Workshop account strategy with sales representatives, and partner with them on larger opportunities
- Leverage data to develop market insight and prioritize opportunities
- Develop sales talent through continuous recruitment, training, performance measurement, and feedback initiatives
- Partner with other commercial and operational departments to coordinate support for sales initiatives

- Achieve 100% team attainment of activity and result expectations
- Ensure 100% adoption and consistent use of our CRM and activity tracking standards
- Partner with sales representatives to win new accounts and land larger deals
Job Requirements
- Experience in a B2B sales environment selling technology solutions
- At least five years’ sales experience required
- Prior people management experience preferred, though we will consider successful sales professionals looking to enter management for the first time
- Bachelor’s degree from a top tier college or university
- Work onsite at our Middletown, CT, headquarters when not with clients in the field
- Valid US driver’s license and willingness to drive to customer sites in the Southern New England territory
- Reliable access to a vehicle you are willing to drive for work purposes, eligible for mileage reimbursement

- Total on target earnings of $120,000-$150,000, with $80,000-100,000 base salary and lucrative, cap-free commission program
