Sanitation Worker

A. SUMMARY

Performs several activities to maintain the plant (buildings, offices and grounds) in a clean and / or sanitary condition.

B. DUTIES

The duties of this position are those described below. This job description does not state or implies that the duties listed are the only duties responsibilities assigned to this position. Employees holding this position will be required to perform any other job-related duties as requested by management.

Essential Duties: These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the

purpose of the position.

1. Work within the general parameters and duties required by the sanitation work log

2. Be capable of handling, mixing, and applying any and all cleaning products required in the performance of their assigned duties

3. Be capable of reading, interpreting, and understanding written work instructions as well as verbal instructions.

4. Be capable of properly filling out paperwork and other documentation necessary as related to the performance of their assigned duties.

5. Check, sweep and clean all Ledges and piping throughout plant.

6. Clean, sweep and wash flour accumulation in areas which are “Hard to Clean”

7. Clean the interior of electrical boxes and control panels.

8. Open and clean the interior of equipment which is not accessible during production operations..

9. Clean the support structures throughout the plant.

10. Assist in taping and sealing warehouse and packing area for fumigation process.

11. Clean the production tower cracks and crevices.

12. Clean and maintain the tank room.

13. Clean the ledges in the warehouse

14. Preform janitorial duties and replenish supplies as needed

15. Sweep and clean sidewalks and other public areas as needed

16. Assist with the general grounds keeping, including mowing, trimming, plant care, rock and gravel placement.

17. Misc. duties as assigned.

18. Regular and timely attendance is a job requirement of all employees.

C. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and / or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and / or up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Constant walking, frequently climbing ladders (over 25’), stairs, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping. Confined space work and respirator required.

Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy conditions caused by the weather. Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.10 per hour
