Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Some college coursework, associates or bachelors degree preferred
- Special needs experience preferred but not required
- Childcare experience preferred but not required
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check and drug testing
Responsibilities
- Implement ABA therapy programs designed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Keep children motivated to learn while creating a positive learning environment
- Collect accurate data as instructed and write progress notes after each session
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with children and parents
- Ability to work with confidential information and follow all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines related to client privacy
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures including kneeling, squatting and crawling for extended periods of time
- Must have quick reflexes
- Must be able to sit on the floor, in a small chair, or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be willing to manage challenging behaviors with support
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
