What You’ll Do:
As our Activities Coordinator, you’ll be the heartbeat of our activities program, designing and leading experiences tailored to the unique needs and interests of residents living with memory challenges. Your days will be filled with:
- Sparking Joy: Plan and facilitate engaging activities—think music sessions, art projects, reminiscence circles, and gentle exercise—that inspire smiles and connection.
- Building Relationships: Get to know our residents and their stories, adapting programs to celebrate their individuality and honor their past.
- Fostering Community: Collaborate with families, staff, and volunteers to create a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
- Innovating Daily: Bring fresh ideas to the table, from seasonal celebrations to sensory experiences, ensuring every day holds something special.
Who You Are:
- A compassionate soul with a knack for creativity and a genuine love for working with seniors, especially those with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- An organized multitasker who can plan events, manage schedules, and keep the energy high.
- A team player with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Experienced in activities coordination, recreation therapy, or a related field (preferred but not required—passion trumps all!).
- Comfortable with basic documentation and familiar with memory care best practices (a plus!).
