Our service-oriented Patient Services Representatives are an essential part of our care team, acting as the first point of contact for patients seeking care. As a growing ophthalmology practice, we’re looking for someone who is friendly, tech-savvy, a quick study and adaptable. The best candidate will work well as a member of a cohesive care team, alongside the doctor, practice manager, and other clinic staff. Candidate must be bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese.
Job duties include:
- Customer service: greeting and checking-in patients
- Schedule management: answering phone calls, scheduling and rescheduling patients, reviewing upcoming appointments to ensure scheduling rules are applied appropriately
- Referral management: obtaining PCP referral authorizations, following up with referring providers and patients about missing documents and appointments, ensuring accurate data entry of referring provider information and referral authorizations
- Insurance eligibility and verification: verifying insurance, interpreting eligibility and benefits, obtaining referral authorizations, calculating patient responsibility
- Communication: triaging phone calls, follow-up and communication with patients and referring practices
- Clinic support: obtaining and documenting patient medical history, prepping patients for screens and testing
- Office maintenance: supply & inventory management, keeping the front office workspace clear of PHI and clutter

Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma
- Prior admin, reception or customer service experience
- Proficient with technology, including computer applications, mobile devices and printers

- Prior experience with EMR systems
- Fluent in Spanish or Vietnamese (preferred)

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
