Position Summary:
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of aircraft parts and materials at the Crossville Maintenance Shop. This role ensures compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices while supporting maintenance operations efficiently and cost-effectively. This is a part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management & Procurement
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support maintenance operations while controlling costs.
- Source and procure aircraft parts, tools, and consumables from approved vendors.
- Ensure all parts meet FAA and company standards before acceptance and distribution.
- Manage inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels, usage, and replenishment needs.
- Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all parts and materials meet FAA requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, traceability, and certifications.
- Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Vendor & Supplier Relations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and availability.
- Negotiate prices and terms to optimize cost savings and delivery schedules.
- Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee the receiving, inspection, and proper storage of all parts and materials.
- Coordinate timely delivery of parts to maintenance teams to minimize aircraft downtime and maintenance team efficiency
- Manage shipping and logistics for parts sent out for overhaul, repair, or return.
- Cost Control & Budgeting
- Track and manage parts-related expenses to stay within budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and compliance.
- Assist Director of Maintenance and FBO Manager
- Work Order Completion, Invoicing and Payment Collection
- Answering the FBO Telephone during busy hours
- FBO customer Service Duties including using the FBO point of sale system to complete FBO fuel sales transactions with based and transient customers.

- Implement best practices in inventory control and materials management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Track record of successfully performing in a previous job that requires accuracy, attention to detail and compliance.
- Knowledge: Willingness to learn FAA regulations related to aircraft parts and maintenance.
- Passion for Aviation and Airplanes is a big plus.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in the use of computers and software systems and willingness to learn the work order and inventory management system in Quantum (the company’s maintenance software system).
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret parts manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in shop environments.
