Shugarman Architecture Design (SA D) is looking for an
Intermediate Design Architect
to join their team. The ideal candidate understands that design quality is based on a strong conceptual point of departure that is aligned with program, site, and budget, but still has enough experience to conceptualize solutions that can be practically implemented.
A high number of candidates may make applications for this position, so make sure to send your CV and application through as soon as possible.RESPONSIBILITIESThe core of this role is one of strong critical architectural design ideation, and the ability to execute that design idea through design development, and then to assist in carrying concepts through IFC as required.Work collaboratively in small and cohesive teams, taking direction from but also assisting and advancing the work of principals or other senior design leads.Improve the already high standard of design and detailing.Provide fresh ideas that build upon proven and recognized growing body of work.QUALIFICATIONSExperience with a recognized design-forward firm is a must.Fluency in Revit.Experience in hospitality (hotels restaurants). Actions work, multifamily, and single family is a strong asset.Experience in other typologies is a plus.Experience with managing subordinates is a plus, but not required.Looking for candidates with experience in other design forward firms, who may be interested in a smaller boutique environment or are simply looking for exposure to a wide variety of project scales and typologies.
