What will you do?
Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is a on-site position at our Fairfax, Virginia, office. There may be occasional travel to our office in Melbourne, Florida, and/or other locations as needed to support customer activities. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description:
The selected candidates will be responsible for algorithm exploration, architecture definition, abstract modeling, and FPGA implementation, verification, and delivery, as applied for research and development of complex SIGINT, EW, radar, communications and other RF mission systems. Duties involve all aspects of FPGA firmware development, including documentation, modeling, implementation, simulation, synthesis, and integration, and test.
Basic Requirements
- US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement
- Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance, due to nature of the work and contract requirement
- BS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a firmware engineer developing and implementing signal processing algorithms on large, dense, high-speed FPGAs (e.g., Xilinx, Altera) using VHDL or Verilog
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- 15 to 20 years’ experience as a firmware engineer developing and implementing signal processing algorithms on large, dense, high-speed FPGAs (e.g., Xilinx, Altera) using VHDL or Verilog
- Previous experience designing or working with SIGINT, EW, COMINT, geolocation, or DSP systems
- MS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in the areas of real-time embedded programming, signal processing, or algorithm development, and/or modeling and simulation, including work in C/C , Python, or Matlab
- Experience with Linux software development
