What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Compliance Monitor position at Azzur Group?
The QA Compliance Monitor plays a key role in supporting quality oversight of construction activities within regulated pharmaceutical facilities. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with GMP and construction quality standards during capital project execution. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in construction environments, familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing, and a strong understanding of quality documentation and field verification practices.
- Provide on-site QA presence during construction activities to ensure adherence to GMP and client-specific quality standards.
- Observe construction work (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and clean utility installations) to verify alignment with approved drawings and procedures.
- Review and verify construction turnover packages (TOPs), ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and GMP-compliant.
- Assist in the review and approval of quality-related documents including installation checklists, punch lists, redlines/as-builts, and inspection reports.
- Identify and document deviations or quality concerns in the field, initiate non-conformance reports, and support resolution and closure.
- Work closely with engineering, construction managers, validation, and quality teams to align on project timelines, milestones, and quality deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 1–3 years in a QA or construction oversight role, ideally within a GMP-regulated or pharmaceutical environment.
- Basic understanding of GMP principles and FDA regulatory expectations
- Familiarity with construction documents (P&IDs, drawings, spec sheets)
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to work in construction zones, including PPE use and site protocols
