What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peoplesoft Business Analyst position at B&A?
- The business systems analyst position requires in-depth knowledge of enterprise resource planning and budget planning application, data structures and business process optimization of application programs.
- The BA will be working with subject matter experts to elicit requirements, validate, interpret and design business requirements into writing technical specifications, business re-engineering, design, test the application, and implement with minimal coaching, perform technical analysis, technical design, unit testing, and deployment.
- Meet deadlines, while effectively managing priorities and communication progress. participate in specification reviews throughout the software life cycle. Analyze dependencies between development projects.
- work with QA by participating in test plan reviews, attending triage meetings.
- collaborate with internal teams to produce requirements.
- proactively monitors and reports performance utilization across business requirements.
- Determine the best course of action for meeting business needs and provide consultive expertise to customers on how to best use systems.
- Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.
- Bachelor's Degree or related field or equivalent experience.
- 6 years of experience with analytical skills, critical thinking, problem solving and risk analysis.
- 5 years if experience working with finance, budget planning and business intelligence applications.
- 5 years of experience supporting that builds ERP applications.

Strong understanding of PeopleSoft modules such as HCM, Finance, or Payroll.

Experience in business process analysis, requirement gathering, and documentation.

Knowledge of PeopleSoft Query, SQL, and reporting tools.

Familiarity with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, and Application Engine is a plus.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and customizations.

Knowledge of integrations between PeopleSoft and third-party applications.

Project management experience or certification (PMP, Agile, etc.).

Previous experience in HR, Finance, or Payroll functions.
- Able to obtain a security clearance.
