POSITION: Purchasing Agent
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the purchasing of raw material, hardware, equipment, production supplies and services necessary for the efficient operation of a full-service aircraft parts manufacturer.
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of two years’ experience in an aerospace/aircraft machine shop setting
· MS Office
· Time Management

REQUIREMENTS:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
· Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions
· Outstanding organizational skills

· Capability to run and read planning reports
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
· Developing profitable purchasing strategies.
· Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery.
· Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
· Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods.
· Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price.
· Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
