Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Route Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a designated route, selling products, provide exceptional customer service, and manage inventory. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to meeting customer needs while ensuring the efficient operation of the sales route.
The companies main location is in Houston. All interviews will be conducted with management in Houston by Zoom Meeting. This position is for route sales in Baton Rouge. There will be a mandatory two week training period in Houston prior to beginning sales route in LA.
Duties
- Drive a commercial vehicle along assigned routes making sales calls to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, sales, and inventory levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through excellent customer service.
- Sell products by effectively communicating features and benefits to customers.
- Handle heavy lifting as required for product delivery and restocking.
- Manage pricing and ensure compliance with company pricing strategies.
- Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate nightly with management in Houston regarding route performance and customer feedback.
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and sales transactions.
- Must take comprehensive notes concerning customers wants and needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in automotive industry or customer service is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for product handling.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- A military background is a plus but not required; candidates with diverse experiences are encouraged to apply.
- High school education or equivalent desired.
