About the Position
We are seeking a Project Manager (Warehouse) to oversee the operations, maintenance, and disposal of U.S. government inventory. This role involves providing moving support services and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively in support of the Naval Air Systems (NAVAIR) Command at Patuxent River.
This is a full-time position located in Patuxent River, MD.
Duties:
- Facilitate moves of contractor or government furnished equipment between government owned and contractor owned/leased facilities.
- Operate equipment and trucks to locate and move materials or merchandise.
- Through physical inspection or telephone survey, determine the nature of government property to be moved.
- Coordinate the assembly and disassembly of government furnishings and equipment based on AutoCAD drawings provided by the government.
- Determine the appropriate location of materials received or on hand.
- Receive products and check documentation provided for accuracy and completeness, coordinate approval of documentation with appropriate staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- MUST be able to pass and maintain a federal background check
- Prior government contracting experience (preferred)
- 5 Years experience as a facilities/warehouse project manager
- Experience working with AutoCAD drawings
- Must be able to communicate at the highest level and have good client management skills
- In-depth understanding of warehouse operations and processes
- Well organized and good management skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lead
- Experience providing warehouse support, including the receiving, packing, unpacking, processing, storing, and managing of products
- Experience coordinating with staff and relevant stakeholders, including outside vendors to maintain and process equipment
- Forklift certification (required)
- Ability to perform in a physically demanding setting; this may include the ability to walk long distances, stand for long periods of time, or lift items to ensure proper placement
