JOB OVERVIEW
As a committed, proactive Venue Manager, you will work with management to hire, train and lead your staff to ensure that patrons receive impeccable service while maintaining a successful and sustainable business. The role of a Venue Manager is to supervise and coordinate the entire team. They must ensure the guest of every department receives a warm welcome and that service and equipment runs smoothly. Different departments may include bowling lanes, restaurant seating, kitchen, redemption arcade, outdoor games, party rooms, theater lobby, auditoriums or bars.
You will also manage inventory and optimize resources pertaining to all amenities within the very different areas of the building, helping the marketing team with promotional events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed, maintain current licenses, create schedules, and work with the operations team to set business objectives to increase profits and maximize customer satisfaction. You should also be able to work with, mentor and lead diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations.
Delegation of responsibilities is a must, and will help cultivate the next class of managers, but you should become competent in all tasks and processes though out the location.

- Participate in hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to Guests, assessing employee performance, and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
- Resolving conflicts or concerns from Guests and employees.
- Monitoring department activity and ensuring all is properly staffed.
- Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.
- Keeping up to date on personnel records and certifications needed for the staff.
- Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward Guests and team members at all times.
- Responding promptly to guest requests.
- Staying current on new releases, upcoming movies and industry trends.
- Communicating and coordinating as a team with your fellow colleagues.
- Remaining attentive to corporate requests and mindful of related responsibilities.
- You will likely find yourself doing a wide variety of tasks each time you work. You might sell tickets, but still help a guest at the bar, or lend a hand cleaning an auditorium between shows.
- Keeping a close eye on controllable expenses with a proactive mindset.
- Forecasting business and optimizing schedules and resources accordingly.
- Set goals and benchmarks with supervisors and staff.
- Cleaning
- Completing any other duties as delegated or directed by your supervisor.
- Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire.
- Liquor Liability certificate is required and must be willing and able to pour at least basic drinks.
- If there is a religious reason as to why alcohol cannot be served, an official religious exemption in writing needs to be provided.
- Must be able to run errands and provide current driver license and vehicle insurance.
- Must have the availability to open and/or close regularly.
