Responsibilities
Position Summary :
The Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the performance of the manufacturing, processing, and packaging equipment in a designated area of the plant. Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within limits of general practices and procedures, but where supervision is available to handle unusual situations . Work is performed under general guidance of the Maintenance Lead, Supervisor, and / or peers.
Responsibilities : Essential Duties
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment including but not limited to servo motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, and related production equipment.
- Performs scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines and systems during downtime. .
- Repairs the malfunction of machines, systems and auxiliary equipment.
- Routinely checks on machinery and systems for signs of fault in order to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions.
- Initiates improvement on the functionality of machines and equipment to increase its efficiency.
- For more senior positions, might act as a team leader to ensure that the work meets agreed targets by directly overseeing team members.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices.
- Will become the subject matter expert at higher levels of job.
- Documents activities accordingly using good documentation practices. .
