Self-Storage is actively seeking to hire a part time retail sales associate for the Mandeville area.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:
· Perform the day-to-day operations of the site.
· Renting storage spaces & selling store merchandise
· Working face-to-face with customers, providing excellent service and build excellent rapport with new and existing customers, while enhancing your customer service and sales skills and experience.
· Keeping the property and office clean and tidy. Walking around the property performing lock checks and showing the units to customers
· Physical requirements of the job include daily walks of the property, cleaning the units and the property, opening, and closing for the storage doors (up to 50 lbs.), and similar activities.
· Listen to customers to understand their unique situation.
· Become an expert in self-storage by renting storage spaces and managing the leasing process.
· Participate in operations activities such as keeping the property clean, performing lock checks, and showing units to potential customers.
· Utilize our Point of Sales system (POS) to take payments, manage customer accounts, and maintain inventory.
· Assist facility manager with receivable collections and delinquencies processes.
· Perform light property maintenance and partner with vendors, as approved or necessary.
· Keep the facility up to the highest cleanliness standards (i.e., cleaning high touch areas, cleaning units, sweeping, picking up trash around the property, etc.)
· Listen to customers to understand their unique situation.
· Become an expert in self-storage by renting storage spaces and managing the leasing process.
· Utilize our Point of Sales system (POS) to take payments, manage customer accounts, and maintain inventory.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basic High School Diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with a POS (Point of Sale) system, along with basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Exemplary face-to-face and phone customer service
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
- Prior management or leasing experience with steady work history preferred.
- Prior retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record
- While performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently required to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb or balance on a ladder.
- Must have a flexible schedule with weekend availability.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and initiative
Compensation/Benefits
Hourly Range: $15.00/hour to start, consideration based on previous experience.
Plus, we offer other benefits including:
- Training and professional development
- Part-time associate, 2 days a week, 3 days as needed or warranted, at least one day working/operating the office. The other days and times, along with an occasional Saturday. No night shifts; 30 minutes lunch.
