This management role oversees all aspects of assigned projects from commencement to completion while consistently exceeding customer expectations. Responsibilities include initiation, planning, execution, and monitoring of projects while being committed to safety, quality, punctuality, and staying within budget. Daily activities include maintaining the scope of work, developing schedules, time management, dissolving risk, and guiding and reporting progress. An intense drive to take initiative is needed to maintain business partnerships, work closely with vendors, control quality, and schedule and attend all necessary meetings to achieve project goals. Providing information, direction, and training to field and administrative staff is also expected. Responsibilities
Read and fully understand all contract language to implement into project management practicesResponsible for monitoring, building, and maintaining project scheduleResponsible for notifying customer and / or general contractor for any delays or scope changes within contracted timelineMonitor, forecast, and manage all job costs to keep projections and WIP accurateSet deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize progress of projectsWorking knowledge of B&D QA Program, Safety Plan, Change Order Process Controls, and Implementing ProceduresWorking knowledge of BIM and 3D Construction, Trimble layout, and the benefits of prefabricationRequired to use discretion and independent judgment as neededOversee, support, and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in projectsServe as primary contact for any questions regarding the projectPrepare reports for upper management regarding status of projects and communicates changes to project team members to ensure proper executions and escalationsTrack and report project hours and expenses as well as draft and manage budgetsManage and obtain overall project approvalsMonitor project progress and schedule requirements and determines actions needed to ensure completionManage customer-initiated change requests and enhance project design and quality if requiredRead and understand construction drawings / specs accurately to determine their impact on the scope, budget, and schedule of the projectConduct routine inspection / walk-down activities to remedy any issuesEffective management of Project Engineers, administrative staff, and / or Foremen / SuperintendentsResponsible for reviewing estimates for potential jobs and preparing change orders and cost estimatesApply applicable laws, rules, ordinances, and regulationsPhysical demands include long hours sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling / pushing, walking, lifting, and climbingJob requires intermediate computer proficiency and advanced critical thinking skillsOther duties, activities and responsibilities may vary and change as assignedEducation and Experience
