Job Title: Facilities Assistant
Department: Operations
Reports To: Director of Operations
SUMMARY: The Facilities Assistant will conduct routine maintenance and coordinate with external suppliers to support systems for the building and property while following appropriate regulations and safety protocols. Other duties include maintaining supplies for first aid, safety, cleaning, and kitchen area. This position requires some scheduled on-call time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conducts routine maintenance, inspection, and repairs on equipment, building, and grounds.
· Adheres to appropriate regulations and safety practices utilizing appropriate protective equipment for the tasks performed.
· Performs rounds and logs maintenance data.
· Coordinates appointments with facilities-related vendors and escorts them on company property.
· Supports on-call schedule and responds as necessary during and after normal working hours.
· Supports general janitorial work as a backup to normal staff.
· Maintain inventory of first aid kits, safety supplies, and kitchen supplies, recommend orders and restock as necessary.
· Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers, both internal and external.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING SKILLS
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to perform detailed work and to troubleshoot accounting problems.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Related Building Maintenance Certification a plus
COMPUTER SKILLS
Good general knowledge of common computer applications. Experience with HVAC controls and alarm systems a plus.

The employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee will be exposed to outside weather on occasion. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be exposed to laser and HAZMAT hazards.
Salary : $58,000 - $65,000
