Job Description Summary : This position will facilitate EHS and safe workplace requirements within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities :
- Certified Trainer for EHS and Compliance. This includes, but is not limited to : Industrial Hygiene, Safety Procedures, SOP's, JHA's, Employee Procedures, Documents and Records.
- Devotes time to being on the manufacturing floor for continuous improvement activities including, but not limited to : Shift Meetings, Near Miss Reporting, Behavior Observations, Internal Audits, Daily Inspections, 5S, DOT, First Aid, AED's, Eye Wash, Document and Process Review / Verification, Start of Shift Facility Inspection, Start of Shift Meeting.
- Initiates appropriate corrective actions and procedures as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to : Stop, Call, Wait, Stand Down, Near Miss / Unsafe Behavior / Behavior Observation System.
- Continuous Improvement, Production line shutdown, Requesting machine adjustments, Entering data into the supplier scorecard system.
- Trains new employees, current employees, and visitors on Safety, GMP, EHS, DOT, and Safe Workplace requirements.
- Development and maintenance of Safety documents and records (e.g., procedures, checklists, charts, graphs); in conjunction with documents.
- Presents EHS and Safety information, this includes, but is not limited to : Employee orientation and training.
- Strives for continuous improvement of current Safety systems, along with implementation of new systems.
- Facilitates Monthly Facility Inspections.
- Completes Daily Walk-through of the Manufacturing Facility.
- Assists with Internal and External Audits.
- Assists with the maintenance of an approved chemical list.
Experience, Skills, Education :
Compensation Range : $75k-85k Annually - Salaried Exempt Role
