Job Description
SQF Site Practitioner
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure SQF program functionality and continuous improvement through SOP writing, verification, validation, and approval.
- Conduct internal, cGMP, and HACCP audits, coordinating customer, third-party, regulatory (FDA), and compliance audits with Quality Assurance Manager support.
- Promote food safety culture in the facility by collaborating with manufacturing departments to improve current programs, implement new ones, and maintain quality standards.
- Manage new item setup and changes related to food safety and quality, ensuring success and compliance.
- Coordinate key food safety and quality programs managed by Quality, including environmental monitoring, pest control, SPC, RCA, and Qnotes/Q1 inventory.
- Foster a team environment and learning culture by tracking key performance indicators and sharing knowledge with department members.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 5 years in a food plant as a quality professional preferred.
- Skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency.
Work Environment
- Plant environment.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Physical demands include stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, and grasping.
- Must be flexible to work hours outside regular schedule as needed.
