At B&G Foods, we are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and performing standard repairs to building electrical systems, including fixtures, switches, photocells, and outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain building electrical systems, including fixtures, switches, and photocells.
- Perform standard repairs to building electrical systems, including outlets and other components.
- Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the building, including standard repairs and replacement of components.
- Monitor and maintain plumbing systems, including standard repair of leaking fixtures and cleaning of obstructed waste lines.
- Perform carpentry maintenance tasks, including installation of sheetrock/drywall, window replacement, and door and hardware installation.
- Paint interior and exterior finishes as needed.
- Assist in maintaining water treatment and storage systems.
- Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Document facilities maintenance requirements and maintain appropriate records of work performed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3-5 years' experience working in facilities maintenance.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented.
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
- Ability to perform other functions such as standing, walking, sitting, twisting, and carrying objects up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in cold and wet conditions with the smell of chlorine.
- Flexible with schedule and available to work PM shift, weekends, and overtime as required.
