- Supervise all line activities and coordinate assignment and crewing of labor. Coordinate changeovers, emergency repairs and non-routine maintenance to ensure continuous product flow. Provide input on development / modification of existing or new equipment. Develop cost efficient environment through active involvement in plant's cost reduction programs.
- Maintain the plant's safety standard. Participate and work with Employee Health and Safety Manager / Coordinator ensuring best workplace safety practices are enforced. Responsible in conducting accident investigations and providing sound solutions.
- Responsible for maintaining the plant's quality and sanitation standards. Coordinates with QA department on all product issues. Follows and enforces all Good Manufacturing Practices. Assumes responsibility of good safe wholesome product produced safely.
- Ensure employees are adhering to all company polices. Assess and evaluate employees' performances by mentoring, coaching, training and developing employees and perform disciplinary actions and provide termination recommendations when needed.
- Evaluates and recommends root cause analysis, problem solving and yield efficiency improvements as well as practical hands-on process in support of plant goals.
- Conduct performance management reviews. Maintain environment free of harassment and discrimination.
- Ensure effective use of all plant control tools (SOPs, etc.) to ensure accurate reporting of production, material, and labor utilization. Ensure timeliness of reporting.
- Utilize resources (labor, materials, other management personnel) to achieve or exceed Plant's production plan.
- Participate in physical inventories (count teams, etc.)
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
