What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Specialist position at B&G Manufacturing Company Inc?
JOB SUMMARY
This position is accountable to review and approve certification documentation from vendors and to customers. This position also provides clerical and operational support to the QA Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews and approves certifications for incoming material to assure compliance with purchase orders. Enters relevant testing information into batch.
Contacts vendors for corrections when nessary along with maintaining log with any material on hold.
Creates, reviews, and approves outgoing certification packages for product being shipped to our customers. Contacts vendors for corrections when necessary.
Reviews and approves purchase orders and certifications from subcontractors as required. Signifies approval of documentation with initials and dates on appropriate documents.
Communicates with customers or government agencies regarding matters of quality or deliveries as requested by the customers.
Reviews and approves production orders as necessary to assure the instructions are adequate and comply with the customer specifications.
Communicates quality concerns with the QA Supervisor or QA Department Manager. Participates in investigations on customer complaints as requested by the customer or QA Department Manager.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact closely with Receiving, Shipping, Purchasing, Sales and Production Control departments.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
Must be fluent in English.
Proficient in basic computer applications.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and communication skills
Open to learn additional skills within the department
