Utility Line Locator
Job Status: Full-Time
Reports To: Area Lead or Supervisor
Hourly/Salary (DOE): $18 - $26
Position Summary: The role of the utility locator is to receive one call, navigate, identify, place a signal on line, and mark accordingly all affected underground facilities. These may include gas, oil, sewer, electrical, communication, water, and produced water lines using sophisticated mapping programs and electronic detection equipment. Must maintain good communication with contractors, coworkers, management, utility workers, construction workers, engineers, operators, and electricians through phone calls, text messages, and emails, and thoroughly document all communications. Assist in the assessment of the need for repair, modification, or expansion of utility locations to comply with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license under company policies and procedures
- Knowledge of basic oilfield safety requirements
- Demonstrate the ability to use basic hand tools
- Work safely at a productive rate
- Must be able to work as a team in construction-related tasks
- Close tickets and complete Job Wizard daily
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical and meet all physical requirements of the job
- Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, climb, carry up to 50lbs, and perform numerous task that requires physical agility and manual dexterity as well as mental acuity throughout shift
- Maintains acceptable personal hygiene and professional appearance and is clean-shaven (job-specific)
- Must be able to pass safety screening for fit tests and pulmonary tests for cross-functionality between customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to complete all required paperwork
- Must have own housing
- Must be able to walk up to 5 miles per day
- Must be able to maintain the cleanliness of all company equipment and vehicles
- Always conduct themselves in a professional manner
- Must have reliable transportation
- Attend all safety meetings unless approved otherwise by Manager
- Report to work as scheduled
- Demonstrate proficiency in adhering to Federal, State, and Local and all company Health, Safety Environmental rules and regulations

Work Environment:
This position works long hours outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. The company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
