41 Hours / Week 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm
2nd Shift Sunday 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Thursday 3:45pm-11:45pm
3rd Shift Monday-Thursday 9:00pm-7:00am.
Job Overview:
Under the direct supervision, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance repairs on facility equipment and property structures in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Carpentry: Basic knowledge of rough and finished carpentry repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office furniture, roofs, and shelves.
Electrical: Basic knowledge of electrical repair work for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, appliances, and lighting systems; reports unsafe electrical conditions.
Plumbing: Basic knowledge of repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces seals and other minor parts; maintains drinking fountains, replaces, repairs and maintains hot water heaters and other appliances.
Painting: Applies and prepares various surfaces of paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish, or stain and repairs wall coverings
Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
Performing preventive maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
As assigned by Director, Facility Manager and Dispatcher
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires ability to use general tools
Basic knowledge of the following: carpentry, plumbing, painting, appliance repair, electrical wiring and maintenance of hand tools and equipment
Ability to follow directions
Must respond quickly in the event of any emergency, notify appropriate personnel
Must have the ability to prioritize work
Must be able to follow safety standards
Must be able to communicate effectively
Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:
Knowledge level that typically comes with 1-2 years of work experience within the field.
Basic mechanical and carpentry experience.
Industry certifications and or trade school diplomas are a plus.
Physical Environment/Occupational Risks:
Warehouse Environment
Performing physical activities that require to stand, walk, lift, bend and other physical abilities
Lifting of objects up to 50 lbs
Frequent use of hand and power tools
