Essential Responsibilities :
- Keep up to date with functionality and advanced features of Cognos / MicroStrategy tools
- Acquire knowledge of business processes and source data
- Receive requests from the business and prioritize accordingly
- Research and identify the key business metrics and KPIs that will be needed for the report
- Lead storyboarding sessions to assist business users in defining requirements
- Document the business initiatives and deliverables of the request
- Test and validate the deliverable to ensure it is accurate and ready for the user
- Address issues and resolve requests for additional information
- Manipulate large data sets and use them to identify trends and reach meaningful conclusions
- Maintain clear and open line of communication with business users
- Provide guidance and support to junior BI analysts
- Take ownership of projects
- Assist in data design and data modeling
- Adhere to B&H policies and procedures including data security / privacy guidelines
