JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
This is an entry level role where the Helper / Apprentice will assist the Foreman / Journeymen in various entry level tasks as identified.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
GED or High School Graduate Preferred.
Understand English and follow directives.
Undergoing Apprentice Program Preferred.
SAFETY AWARENESS :
Executes all tasks in a safe manner; utilizes safe work practices as appropriate. Will wear protective equipment when entering areas requiring same (Hard Hats, Work Boots, etc.).
Undergo DPAS training necessary for travel to worksites (if applicable).
B&I will train on OSHA 10, 30 as appropriate.
B & I makes safety a priority for all roles. As such this role may contain certain PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) necessary and required in the performance of certain tasks. It is the responsibility of the incumbent in the role to ensure he / she has received all pertinent safety protective equipment, and commits to use of same when performing in the role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to see well (naturally or with eye correction).
Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.
Must be able to use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull and lift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
