B.L. Harbert International is looking for a Security Compliance Manager for its US Construction Group. Candidate would be responsible for managing the overall project security and document control strategy, and its application to individual projects. The Security Compliance Manager is responsible to supervise, maintain, and update all aspects of the project security system, including document control, vendor management, including support, training, and reporting as required. This is a working manager position that will require direct involvement in the daily function of the US Group including Preconstruction, Operations, IT and Compliance. The Manager will also oversee quality and execution of all Document Control activities inclusive of project sites as well as established office locations. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to accept responsibility and ownership of assigned work. Applicants would work directly with BLHI project staff, client representatives and vendors to provide communication, training, and support.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance through the US Government
- Undergraduate Degree or higher in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering related discipline or Construction Management discipline
- 5 years experience in Document Control Management or support of design and/or design-build projects
- Working knowledge of Department of Defense/Department of State Document Control Procedures
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Extensive experience leading collaborative and multi-discipline Teams
- This is a full-time position located in Birmingham, AL
- Candidate must be willing to travel occasionally domestically (CONUS and US Territories) as required
Preferences:
- Experience in highly technical US Government, civil/industrial or commercial projects (including design)
- Experience leading a successful DOD or DOS project
- Experience with NISPOM is a plus
- Experience with CMMC is a plus
- Experience with Design-Build or Architecture-Engineering Firm a plus
