Job Summary:
As an IT Specialist at B&L Information Systems, you will provide a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining B&L’s local infrastructure and the B&L Cloud, which supports the Odyssey ERP software. Your responsibilities will include the configuration, operation, and administration of network and cloud server hardware and software. You will assist the Technology Team’s engineers with architecting and managing new and existing systems to ensure the Odyssey ERP software is secure and highly performant. Additionally, you will be responsible for architecting and building additional tools necessary to support B&L’s internal and external systems using modern application and database programming.
As an IT Specialist, key responsibilities include the following:
- Provide technical support to customers who use Odyssey ERP.
- Perform Odyssey ERP software upgrades to customer systems.
- Manage, support, and maintain internal systems and computers used by B&L employees.
- Assists in the configuration, monitoring, and optimization of internal and cloud network infrastructure for optimal performance, maximum availability, minimal maintenance, and reasonable costs.
- Analyze, recommend, and evaluate new hardware, software, and communications products for network compatibility and applicability.
- Design and build tools and applications to assist the support and management of the B&L Cloud and Odyssey ERP.
- Develops, maintains, and updates a library of technical documentation.
- Assists in the training of other employees in internal technology systems.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2 years of related work experience, with a minimum of two years of experience installing and maintaining internal networks.
- Associate’s degree in information technology.
- Demonstratable ability to write programs in PowerShell or other scripting language.
- Demonstratable ability to write basic SQL queries
Desired Skills and Experience
- 2 years managing and configuring Microsoft Office 365 environments.
- 2 years managing and configuring Linux environments
- 2 years managing and maintaining an ERP or other database system
- 2 years managing and maintaining a SQL-based database system.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
Compensation
- $60,000 - $70,000 base salary
- This is a bonus eligible position.
- Candidates can expect salary offers that range from the minimum to the midpoint of the salary range.

Additional Details
- This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week at our Bridgman office and allows 2 days per week, work from home.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- This role requires the candidate to have the authority to work in and be located in the US.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
