Description
Drivers will be responsible for transp1ting roofing materials for all departments to and from job sites. They will also pick up materials from roofing and construction suppliers. Drivers will transpo1i flatbed trailers, dump trailers, car trailers, kettles, and conveyors. Drivers will assist roofing crews when loading and unloading materials and equipment. B & M Roofing travels outside of the Denver-Metro area on occasion, and drivers may make deliveries and pick-ups to surrounding states.
Drivers will work in the warehouse when not on the road. Duties include loading and unloading vehicles, vehicle maintenance, pulling orders, inventory, yard clean up, and building maintenance. Drivers also operate and maintain forklifts and power equipment. Driver clear snow at.B & M Roofing using snow plows and ATVs.
Physical Activities of this Position
Driving: Safely operating motor vehicles, forklifts, and snow moving equipment.
Climbing: Ascending and descending trucks, forklifts, ladders, and stairs using legs feet, hands, and arms.
Balancing: Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, or climbing on narrow, slippery, or uneven surfaces.
Stooping: Bending the body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Full use of lower extremities and back muscles is required.
Kneeling: Bending the legs at the knee to rest on knee or knees.
Pushing/Pulling: Using upper extremities to exe1i force against something in order to draw, drag, disassemble or haul an object in a sustained motion.
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another.
Shoveling: Scooping materials from a lower position to a higher position using legs, back m1d upper extremities.
Physical Requirements of this position

The driver is required to safely climb ladders and stairs using hands, arms, legs, and feet.

The driver must be able to lift/move 50 to 100 pounds occasionally.

The driver must be able to shovel rock, dirt, or snow for periods of up to two hours.

The driver is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and equipment in accordance with Colorado Motor Vehicle licensing requirements.

The driver is required to have adequate auditory function to hear instructions and safety signals.
Working Conditions of this Position
- The driver may be subject to extreme heat. Temperatures may exceed 100 degrees.
- The driver may be exposed to severe cold. Frost, snow, and ice may be present on all surfaces.
- Rain, snow, sleet, hail, damaging winds, and lightening may occur at any time.
- The driver is subject to the hazards of working at heights and proximity to moving equipment and machinery.
Licensing and Certification Requirements
- Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License or Commercial Driver’s License.
- Must maintain a clean driving record and report any traffic violations as soon as they occur.
- CDL drivers must agree to random drug testing.
- CDL drivers must maintain a current DOT Physical Certification.
